Creature Comforts.

Breeding animals for sale is regulated by the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 and the Animal Welfare Act 2006. A small fraction of the regulations include:

  • Suitable Accommodation: clean, safe, and comfortable sleeping and exercise areas, free from draughts, with adequate space.
  • Whelping Area: A separate area must be provided for each breeding bitch, maintained at an appropriate temperature.
  • Hygiene and Disease Control: procedures required for cleanliness, disease prevention, and isolation of sick/injured animals.

Creating these areas to include solid, well installed uPVC Cladding to the walls in white or one of our soothing pastel shades is one way to help comply with the rules while keeping the accommodation hygienically robust and easy to clean.
