How to buy
CLADDING SHEETS
Direct Cladding uPVC Sheets are 2.5mm thick and available as both 2440mm or 3050mm tall by 1220mm wide.
Example:
If the wall you want to cover is 2300 high x 3500 wide (2.3 x 3.5m) you need to order 3x sheets of Cladding at 2440 x 1220.
How
PROFILES Work
Profiles (also known as division bars, end caps and trims) should be ordered at the same length as the height of the cladding.
Simply count how many joints there will be between sheets and how you want to finish the last sheet at either end or corner.
Example:
If the wall you want to cover is 2300 high x 3500 wide (2.3 x 3.5m) you need to order 2x Division Bars and 2x Capping.

When to
use SILICONE
Clear or Colour Matched Silicone can be used as an alternative to Profiles, or as a solution if there isn't a Profile that fits in a corner.
Between well installed cladding sheets, Clear or Colour matched Silicone will disguise the join and look great if the gap is small enough to be disguised and wide enough to allow access.
A mixture of Profiles (on External Corners) and Silicone (Internal Corners, between Cladding and work surfaces etc.) can complete most installations while allowing a great finish.
How much ADHESIVE
is enough?
Not all adhesives are made equal. Cheap adhesives available at most DIY stores can dry hard, with no flexibility. Eventually this can lead to cracking and failing of the adhesion required.
Direct Cladding recommend our Premier Bond HT Hybrid Polymer Adhesives for years of service if applied following the instructions.
NOTE: If you or your installer applies adhesives in "blobs" or squiggles across the back of the Cladding Sheet or the Wall you may well be storing up trouble for the future - adhesive should be applied fully to both surfaces; cladding and wall, for a life time of zero stress (about cladding).
Our Premium Cladding adhesive will cover 4 square metres per Tube or 10 square metres per Tub.

Which walls need cladding?
All of them - (recommended for small kitchens, bathrooms, shower and wet rooms) or just the walls adjacent to where water, condensation or general humidity needs to be dealt with easily, the choice is yours - more cladding is always better than less!
How easy is access to the area you are cladding?
The sheets are up to 2440mm or 3050mm high and 1220mm wide. Easy if well planned for 2 people to lift and manoeuvre, even after adhesive is applied, but you need to make sure there is enough space in the room itself or an adjacent room / space where you can lay the sheets flat and apply the adhesive. Also, remember adhesive also needs applying to the wall.
