Chapter 1

LET'S FACE IT - Plastic gets a bad rap.

Direct Cladding Warehouse showing stacked upvc cladding

The Pacific has a floating island of single use plastics; plastic ropes and netting, discarded domestic appliances and toys that were easier to dump into a river or directly into the ocean, because they were too difficult to recycle.

Not so with Direct Cladding. We only use solid uPVC which is not only recyclable but can be recycled multiple times without significant loss of quality. After it's first use it can be taken to a recycling centre where anything attached to it is removed before it is shredded, made into granules, washed of dust and sent to manufacturers who use it for everything from uPVC window frames, doors, domestic appliance casings and insulation to pipes of all sizes.

So although we expect your Direct Cladding to be part of your home or business for a very, very long time, you also have the comfort of knowing it can have many environment saving after lives, without ever touching an ocean.
